PRINCIPLE OF SELF PERCEPTION
My son Emmanuel surprised me with this Father's Day gift. This portrait blew me away since he was unaware that this was exactly how I was seeing myself for the last year and a half. It simply reinforced my thinking and greatly encouraged me.
What you THINK will change your life. How you perceive yourself dictates your behavior and the very words you will speak.
It is so amazing how the principle of self perception can revolutionize your life when understood.
However, this perception must be the correct one, the truthful one regarding who you really are. It is literally a matter that can transform your lifestyle since it carries so much weight.
Before my life began to radically change, I started to think and talk like I was royalty. Sounds crazy huh? But this was one of the keys I began to implement to bring about change...and it worked!
The Scriptures describe something called where you become "the head and not the tail". (If you're serious about true change, read Deuteronomy 28:12-14)
Basically, you walk in who you really are. You don't live with a "slave" mentality. You carry yourself like you really matter...because you do! You just don't sing about it, but you live the reality of it!
Listen, often your very family and friends will talk to you like your second class, it's true, but if they understood how wonderful you are and they are, they would buy you lunch today!
That's the power of living as "the head and not the tail". Don't settle for crumbs. Don't settle for mediocrity. Don't allow others to put labels on you. The past is the past, now go forward!
You Must Live In Your True Worth!
It is a place of safety, of rest, peace, confidence, and strength.
To be functioning as you were created to be. Often we live in a state of malfunction, as an electronic hardware apparatus that's just not operating as it was intended to. We are not "functioning" as we were created to function.
Discover and walk in the understanding that you are of great worth, because the Creator of the galaxies says so! Live there!
"I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
